Adform

Introduction

 

Raptor's Customer Data Platform (CDP) integrates with Adform. From the CDP, it is possible to synchronize audiences to Adform for advertisement use. 

Setup

 

1. Enter general information in Raptor

In Raptor you will find a template created to assist the integration setup. To create the Adform Activation, go to “Customer Data Platform --> Activation --> Create New Activation --> Adform.  
  
Type in a Name, optionally include a Description, and select the preferred person identifier - then click Next. 

🔍 Note: For audience targeting to function, a person identifier (Adform ID) must be present in both Adform and the CDP, and it should be implemented in the Adform event tracking on your site to serve targeted ads to members of a specific audience. The person identifier/Adform ID should also be set through the Raptor Tracking Script. Please speak to your Adform consultant, if you need advise. 

 

2. Enter Adform information

To establish communication between Adform and the CDP, you need the following information: 

  • Data Provider ID
  • Category ID

You will need to retrieve these from your Adform Account. The Data Provider ID is essentially your business ID within their system, while the Category ID denotes the specific customer list you wish to link. Make sure you have Admin-tier access privileges for the account, since Raptor may otherwise be unable to connect to the API. When both have been found and entered, click Next.

 

3. Schedule

Set a schedule for the audience synchronization. Decide how often you want to update your audience in Adform (every 1 to 24 hours) and at what time the synchronization should start. The schedule depends on how often you create ad campaigns, and in general you should make sure to synchronize your audiences so they are up-to-date when starting a new campaign.

Often, it is sufficient to synchronize every 24 hours during the night, which will leave you with freshly updated audiences to start from in the morning. 

  

4. Add audiences

The final stage of the Activation is to link it to the one or more Audiences from your CDP. Select audiences will give you a list of all relevant values, with a search-field for narrowing the scope if needed. Check as many audiences as desired, then select Apply. Finally, select Save to put your new integration into production. Finalizing it will take around five minutes, and if any issues should surface, every part of the Integration can be subsequently edited.

 

NOTES:

  • If you delete the linked Audience from Raptor's systems, the relevant segment will also be deleted in Adform
  • Adform requires that you set a time to live on your segments cleaning up inactive users. Set the time to live to 24 hours to keep your segments relevant and containing only the people who are present in your Raptor audience. The full audience will be sent at each synchronization.   
  • All linked Audiences can be found within Adform's interface by navigating to Audiences -> Audiences. They will be listed here under the 'Uncategorized' type, and can be processed and connected in various ways within the Adform systems.
